Have they seen it? widget

The Have they seen it? widget allows you to select an item of content in Fuse and check that your reportees have viewed it. For example, you may have uploaded a very useful or important item of content and want to make sure all your reportees have viewed it. 

This widget can be added to the following pages in Design Studio

  • Default Manager Dashboard: Used to configure the default layout for the Manager/Reportee screen, viewable to all managers who do not have access to a manager-specific dashboard. 

  • Manager Specific Dashboard: Used to configure a manager-specific layout for the Manager/Reportee screen, based on custom profile fields.

To check if your reportees have viewed an item of content: 

  1. Click the Change Content button. 


    The Select content popup appears. 

  2. In the search bar, enter the title of the content. 

    A list of matching content items appears below the search bar. 

  3. [Optional] If you want to filter the results by content type, select a content type from the filter dropdown.
    The following content types can be selected:

    • All content: Returns all content types that match the entered keyword or phrase, including questions, links, files, articles and videos.  

    • Questions: Only returns questions that match the entered keyword or phrase. 

    • Links: Only returns links that match the entered keyword or phrase. 

    • Files: Only returns files that match the entered keyword or phrase. 

    • Articles: Only returns articles that match the entered keyword or phrase. 

    • Videos: Only returns videos that match the entered keyword or phrase. 

  4. Select the item of content. 

  5. Click Done


    In the Views column, the widget shows whether or not each of your reportees has viewed the content.

    If a reportee has viewed the content, a tick is displayed. 


    If a reportee has not viewed the content, a cross is displayed. 

Configuring the 'Have they seen it?' widget

If you are a Fuse admin, you can add this widget to the Default Manager Dashboard or Manager Specific Dashboard pages, adjust the width, and change the positioning.

To configure the Have they seen it? widget: 

  1. In the Admin Panel, click Design Studio.
    Design Studio opens. 

  2. Click one of the following tabs:

    • Default Manager Dashboard: Used to configure the default layout for the Manager/Reportee screen, viewable to all managers who do not have access to a manager-specific dashboard. 

    • Manager Specific Dashboard: Used to configure a manager-specific layout for the Manager/Reportee screen, based on custom profile fields.

  3. If you have clicked the Manager Specific Dashboard tab:

    1. From the Edit Layout for dropdown, select a layout.

    2. Select Use custom layout

  4. On the Widgets menu, select Have they seen it?.

     The Have they seen it? widget appears on the layout grid. 

  5. [Optional] In the Widget title field, enter a custom title that will be displayed on the widget.

    • If a custom title is not entered, the default Have they seen it? title is displayed. 

    • Custom titles in widgets are not translated in the Fuse UI.

  6. [Optional] Click and drag the widget to a new position on the layout grid.

    Other widgets on the layout grid adjust their positions accordingly.

  7. [Optional] Click and drag the square in the bottom-right corner to resize the widget. 

    Other widgets on the layout grid adjust their positions accordingly. 

    • The recommended width for this widget is 2-3 columns wide. 

    • It is not possible to change the height of this widget. 

  8. Click Publish

To remove the widget from the layout grid, click the delete button.
