Disabling custom profile fields in reports

You can request that one or more of your custom profile fields be disabled and excluded from both quick and custom reports so that they no longer appear and so that the reports can no longer be filtered by them. If you wish to have one or more of your custom profile fields excluded from reports in your platform, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager and they will have them excluded.

Note: If you choose to have a custom profile field excluded, it is only removed and excluded from reports generated in the Reporting screen. It is still visible and editable elsewhere in the platform, such as in user profiles.

Important: If you've removed custom profile fields from reports and still have any custom reports that are scheduled to run and are filtered by these removed custom profile fields, you must edit or remove the selected filters in these reports to ensure they produce the desired data.

Quick reports

In the case of quick reports, if a custom profile field is excluded, it simply no longer appears in any of the available quick reports when they are generated.

Custom reports

In the case of custom reports, if a custom profile field is excluded:

  • It no longer appears in the Optional fields section of the report creation screen, which means it cannot be selected or deselected as an optional field in custom reports during creation:

  • It no longer appears as a selectable filter option in the Report filters (Optional) section of the report creation screen, meaning that you can no longer filter the report by this profile field:
