How often is data in Universal Analytics updated?

Universal Analytics provides access to data and detailed insights for your organisation, allowing you to monitor trends over time, make comparisons and plan content strategy. It does not include real-time reporting, and instead updates twice daily at designated time slots. For real-time reporting please use our Reporting feature.

Data is updated in Universal Analytics twice daily:

  • Upload 1: New data appears in Universal Analytics between 1pm and 4pm (UTC)

  • Upload 2: New data appears in Universal Analytics between 1am and 4am (UTC)

Each upload has a cutoff time. If the data is in Fuse before the cutoff time, the data will be added to Universal Analytics in that upload. If the data is added to Fuse after the cutoff time for that upload, it is added in the next upload.

  • For data to be included in Upload 1, the data must be in Fuse before 5am (UTC)

  • For data to be included in Upload 2, the data must be in Fuse before 5pm (UTC)

Example:

  • If a user completes a learning plan before 5am (UTC) > this data will be available in Universal Analytics as part of Upload 1, between 1pm and 4pm (UTC)

  • If a user completes a learning plan at 5:05am (UTC) > this data will be available in Universal Analytics as part of Upload 2, between 1am and 4am (UTC)

You can use a time zone converter, such as timeanddate.com or savvytime.com to calculate upload times in your location.
